Start in the right folder.
Choose a registered project or a Git repository from your projects folders. Its agent session opens there.
Code, experiment and come back to your work.
Choose a coding agent. Keep your projects in sessions you can return to, at the desk or over SSH.
$ ai orbit claude
Project: orbit
Agent: Claude Code

Your agent runs in this session. Project files stay in the project folder.

Continue from this terminal · illustrationEcliptic provides launchers for supported coding agents. Install the tools you want when you need them, then use them in your project sessions.
Agent accounts, subscriptions, API usage and model requirements depend on the tool you choose.
Install when needed. The first-run launcher shows the installer and asks before proceeding.
The agent's normal permission prompts remain in place.
Choose a registered project or a Git repository from your projects folders. Its agent session opens there.
The developer desktop starts with an agent, terminal and browser. Rearrange it; Ecliptic saves the layout for that project.
The project-session launcher reconnects to an existing session instead of starting over.
A saved desktop layout and a running terminal session are different: the layout can reopen later; the live session ends when stopped or when the computer restarts.
Work in your desktop workspace. When you connect to that same Ecliptic computer over SSH, reattach to the project session and continue using your coding agent in the terminal.
Your files and tools stay on the Ecliptic computer. SSH gives you terminal access to them.
Use the project desktop, or open the agent-session picker.

ssh -t your-user@your-ecliptic-host ai orbit claudeExample: orbit is a registered project.Put its Git repository in your projects folder, or add it to the project list.
Install your chosen tool and complete its own account or model setup.
Open that project session again to reconnect while it is still running.
Ecliptic AI and Phobos are there for desktop questions. The coding agent you choose handles work in your project.
A terminal session kept running by tmux on your Ecliptic computer. You can detach and reattach while the computer and session keep running.
A reboot ends the live terminal session. Your project files and saved desktop arrangement remain; the agent's own history and resume features determine how its conversation can be continued afterward.
You can launch another supported agent for a project. Agents can have separate sessions; their conversations do not automatically transfer between tools.
This workflow uses a terminal over SSH to reach the same project session. Your graphical workspace remains on the Ecliptic computer.
Ecliptic's launchers help you install and run tools. Accounts, subscriptions, API charges and any local model setup belong to the chosen agent or provider.
